WHY JOIN PARTNERS IN CHANGE

We’re always interested in talking to change practitioners who may be looking at a possible career move, whether full time or on an associate basis, or perhaps just wanting to engage with a wider community of change practitioners.

Whatever your situation you will see on our website what is important to us as a team, the characteristics we want to see in every member of our team. We practice what we preach. When we say we have high integrity, we mean it; ensuring that we always do the right thing for our client, not just what is easy. We’re honest, we’re outcome-focused and we can adapt our style to suit the differing needs of the client and their teams. We’re all experienced, but we know the value of positive collaboration, with two heads always being better than just one. We focus on delivery, not on looking for more opportunities to sell work that our clients may not want or need.

If you’re interested in joining our community, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate a depth of expertise in change, have an impressive business awareness and be able to demonstrate the inter-personal skills and characteristics that we look for.

EMPLOYEE AND ASSOCIATE RECRUITMENT

Our process is an open, honest and two-way experience. It’s our chance to get to know you and your chance to find out more about us, so we can ensure we are the right fit for each other. Importantly, we will give you relevant and helpful feedback every step of the way, even if we decide we aren’t right for each other.

Firstly, send us your CV and a covering letter that explains why you think you would fit in well as a part of the PiC team. Sometimes we may also ask you to complete a questionnaire about your style and experience. As we pride ourselves on our honesty, we want the same from you: a CV that truly reflects your change and industry experience and a covering letter that highlights your key strengths in relation to PiC. Our model is flexible and our team is made up of both employees and associates, so an indication of how you would like to work with us will help too.

The next stage is a telephone interview where we will explore your CV, your aspiration to work with us, and your consultancy style. This will be an important opportunity to ask us more about what we can offer you, and what working in the PiC team is really like.

The next stage will include a more in-depth interview. We may add in a presentation, observed exercises (individual or group), or case studies. This stage could be virtual or face to face.

When we make our decision we will offer you helpful feedback whether you are successful or not. It may be that we don’t have any opportunities that fit your skills right now, but we will keep you in mind for when one does. If unsuccessful we will feedback as to why, in a helpful and constructive way that we hope will assist you in your future career.

We recognise that a thorough process takes time and you will probably be busy. However, we believe it is really important for us to recruit the right people and for you to make the decisions that are right for you. We will give you plenty of notice of all stages, and the interviews will be arranged at a time that’s good for you. We hope that you will enjoy the experience too.

We don’t believe in a ‘perfect fit’. Please say “that’s not my strength” or “I haven’t experienced that’” where appropriate. We are looking for a range of skills and experience and don’t expect everybody to be able to tick every box.
