Nick Cains

Nick has been in the Consulting industry for 30 years. He has a strong track record in change delivery with a specialist in core systems re-platforming, business separation and migration programmes. Nick is a highly experienced Programme Manager/Director who has successfully led a number of major change programmes across various industry sectors including General Insurance, Life and Pensions, Banking and Government.  Most recently delivering successful Separation programmes for Co-op Group including the rationalision of Data Centres. A specialist in finance regulation programme delivery for both banking and insurance industries.

Nick is a specialist in delivering both complex IT led and business change programmes. He has extensive experience of delivering a wide range of programmes including Separation, Finance Regulation, Post Merger Integration, Systems re-platforming, IT systems migration and integration. Nick has also led a number of Programme Assurance reviews across portfolios of programmes and presenting recommendations on remediation to board level.  Nick has strong skills in developing strong working relationships with programme stakeholders and ensuring that programme delivery goals are well defined, ensuring clear communication is achieved between business and IT. Recently Nick has managed the successful separation of Life and Savings Systems, separation of Retail Bank and has also of separating a General Insurance Business.

He has also managed a portfolio of programmes relating to pensions regulation and change for a leading mutual insurance company and recommending changes to the overall change methodology for programme delivery.

Outside of work Nick builds computers and has procured a very large record collection which he spends a great deal of time listening and adding too.
